The shadows of the barren wasteland cling to the very air you breathe. The days and nights all blend together as shadows of your own fears encircle you and devour the light you hold deep inside to escape the darkness of your own mind.
You can feel a lumbering presence once you have felt it before. You have encountered these shadows that cling together and form a tall and menacing presence before you.
“You have come searching for my faith, child. You have met the Child of Shade. A child of the past, a memory formed by the shadows. A lost and wondering soul.”
His voice is soft, but it echoes through your being.
“You have seen the stories of the others; you have heard the tales of their pain. Your own is deep inside you, buried under all the blood, death, and depravity of your own explorations.”
The shadows twist and move about as he seems to hover closer to you. The light of the day is sucked into the swirling shadows of The Shade Lord.
